Doing the same old thing will land you in the same old situation

People will moan and protest, but come voting day when they can actually make a difference, they land themselves in exactly the same situation

Voting has come and gone, and it seems like the majority of people again voted for the ANC. Mind-boggling! Protests are rocking the country all the time due to perceived poor service delivery by the government and yet the vast majority of votes still go to Cyril Ramaphosa and his corrupt crew.

Is it a case of ‘Better The Devil You Know’? Don’t people feel the urge to give another party a try and see if this will lead to positive changes in the country? They say the proof is in the pudding and the ANC’s pudding is well past its expiry date. It’s stale and doesn’t taste very good at all! Can anyone argue with that? Now we’ll have more promises like Free Education, Free This and Free That.

People don’t seem to wonder who will foot the bill for all this freedom? It will be the man in the street, of course. The ones who pay their taxes and rates to subsidise the leeches who don’t. How long do you think that will last before the whole system crashes? All these words are sure to fall on deaf ears; the election is proof of that.

People will moan and protest, but come voting day when they can actually make a difference, they land themselves in exactly the same situation. I would like to protest against utter stupidity! Anyway, that’s my two cents… in one ear and out the other, and now you can carry on as before, as if I never wrote a word.
