Shepstone Place trustees speak out

Let's stand together with dignity for the benefit of our old people and let the law takes its course

We would like to bring to your attention that Sheryl Lane and the committee are volunteers without remuneration.
Sheryl (chairperson) and the committee are not responsible for the administration. Admin is done entirely by paid staff. Auditors do an annual check and audit.

That led to the unearthing of discrepancies. The trustees are aware of Mr Armstrong and others asking to see financial statements.

However, these are confidential and not for public domain – including salaries of staff. It also includes the financial statements and well-being of the residents, as in any other business.

It is regrettable what has happened, but the trustees are fully aware of it and in total support of Sheryl Lane and the new management. The perpetrator has admitted that Sheryl knew NOTHING about her embezzling of the monies. So let’s stand together with dignity for the benefit of our old people and let the law takes its course.

We put our trust in the greater Estcourt community to continue the amazing support of Shepstone Place, including Sheryl Lane and management, to ensure the dignity and security of our elderly folk.
