Madam –
With another Nelson Mandela Day come and gone, I wish to say that one day is not sufficient time, least of all 67 minutes, to render help to another party or institution.
I view the sentiment of Mandela Day as a wonderful opportunity to be community spirited, do good and show you care.
As with Mother’s and Father’s Days, they are indeed occasions to show your mother and father you care, but why do you need to have one day in the year earmarked for the activity?
Surely, mom and dad would relish being shown how much you care 365 days of the year? Likewise Mandela Day.
Enact his spirit of doing good all the year round.
I am certain he would approve!
