Editor – It is heartbreaking to see so many young girls involved in prostitution in Ladysmith. Recently, I drove past the traffic circle in Princess Street and was shocked to see these girls half naked and selling themselves.
Where are their parents or elders? Why aren’t our police doing something about this? The police in our town need to catch a wake-up.
Remove these girls from our streets and get help for them. I understand that the cost of living is high, but seriously, to sell your body for sex? The girls I saw looked like they were younger than 16 years old.
I really hope that our police take an interest and save our girls from ruining their lives through prostitution.
