Ratepayer makes a public plea for service delivery

So many hundreds of you, feeding off a few ratepayers, and sweet bugger all service delivery

To Municipal Manager Danny Mkhize, Nokulunga Shezi, SR Zwane, Les Jacobs, Nathi and Edith Lite –

For months, I have begged and pleaded with you all to please sort this gutter out, right in front of Belmont Court (Albert Street). I am speaking to deaf ears and to people who merely shun us, the ratepayers, whom I might add are paying all your salaries.

On Saturday afternoon, we had people walking up on our pavement, criticising the nauseating smell coming from it.
I have asked, many a time, for assistance to please come and sweep this water out, clear all the litter left to rot in the water and to please re-cement the hole in the gutter.

This lying water, from businesses in Connor Street, is a 24/7 hazard and is forming an even bigger hole. The water is seeping under our property and it stinks to high heaven.

I have approached each and every one of you personally to resolve this matter. You all have forced me to go public because none of you care. I have shown all of you the problems, made your lives easier and still nothing. Enough is enough. It’s time to take us seriously because we have had it with an incompetent municipality. So many hundreds of you, feeding off a few ratepayers, and sweet bugger all service delivery.
