Highlanders poised atop League standings
Teams 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B are in positions one and two in the First and Second Divisions respectively.

The club has entered phase two of the League with all teams in the top half of standings, sporting two teams in first and second place in both the First and Second Division Pools.
This has placed the club in great stead, ahead of a gruelling series of matches beginning this weekend.
From Saturday, Highlanders will face Volksrust, Pongola and Piet Retief in away matches, and will return to enjoy the home field advantage against Vryheid 1 and 2, and Piet Retief 1 and 2.
League points obtained in the pool games are carried over, explained head coach, André Swanepoel.
This means Highlanders 1A will begin the next phase with 20 points, 1B has eight points in total, 2A enjoys 20 valuable points and 2B is set with 12 points in the proverbial bag.
After the home and away games of phase 2, there will be a semi-final and then a final.
