With the fumes of gasoline heavy in the air, the Oval Track motored on this weekend.
Results of this exciting race meeting are as follows:
In the Rookies division, Tiaan Buys scooped the overall first place.
JP Bruin raced his way to a pole position in the 1600 class, ahead of Johann de Jager and Jacques Klopper.
In the 1660s, Liefie Bester finished ahead of Imraan Ameer and Corrie vd Bergh.
Koos van der Merwe was the top racer in the two-litres division, with Imraan Ameer and Pieter Bester rounding off the podium finishers.
The Tin Tops class saw Paul Maritz in first, ahead of Boet Buys and Riekie Snyman.
Making a triumphant return to the local racing circuit, Fred van Dyk topped the hot rods division, ahead of Koos van der Merwe and Francois Greyvenstein.
The next round of racing arrives on June 21 – gates open at 2pm and racing begins from 6pm.
