Imraan Ameen and his love for racing
With a passion for motor sport, Imraan said he enjoyed dirt tracks more than tar tracks.
Imraan Ameen is no stranger when it comes to racing fast cars.
Having been involved in drag racing in the early 1990s, Imraan’s enthusiasm for racing motivated him to take an alternative route in the racing world, all through the sounds of roaring engines.
“I joined the Oval Track six years ago. I was sitting at a pizza place one night and listening to the sounds of the cars racing and I signed up shortly afterwards,” he laughed.
A decision he has never regretted.
Through his time on the Oval, Imraan said he had taken part in several tournaments. “I took the Zululand Championships not too long ago,” he said.
With a passion for motor sport, Imraan said he enjoyed dirt tracks more than tar tracks. This was one of the contributing factors why he enjoyed Oval Track so much, because he said a person could do so much more on a dirt track than on the tarmac.
“I enjoy Oval Track racing 100 per cent and would encourage others to participate as well,” Imraan enthused.
