Mitchell competed in the premier class, with many past SA Champions and a few past world champions

Mitchell Licen (20), has concluded the kart racing season on a high.

He secured second overall for the day at the recent third leg of the South African Championship held at iDube on August 15.

IDube is a 1 km circuit and the karts reach a high speed of approximately 140kph.

The intense racing requires utmost focus and endurance and this comes naturally for the Estcourt lad who has been karting since the age of six.

The season finale was held in Zwartskop where Mitchell secured his second overall position for the 2015 SA Championship.

For now Mitchell will be hanging up his helmet and taking a break from karting while he concentrates on his tertiary education.
