Africa FC yet to be defeated
Esperanzi was eager for a victory but only managed to secure a one-all draw against Africa FC.
The Paradise Astro Court was abuzz with excitement and entertainment on Sunday, February 21, as the Newcastle Futsol League (NFL) continued.
Six fixtures were played and that meant Celtic Rangers and Manchester City had to play two games each on the night to catch up on their fixtures.
In the first game, Celtic Rangers took on Catalans FC and the game went exceptionally well for Celtic Rangers. The team’s star player, Colin Daniels, scored three goals which helped secure a win over Catalans with a score of four – two.
The second game of the evening was between Galatasaray and Manchester City. Despite Galatasaray’s best efforts, the team succumbed to Manchester City who defeated them with a score of one – nil.
Newcastle United then faced Bayern Munich. Newcastle United defeated Bayern Munich with a score of two-nil and is currently on top of the log.
Celtic Rangers’s second match was against Manchester City. Both teams held spectators glued to their seats as they played their hearts out. The game ended with a score of one – all.
Wimbeldon FC played against Dortmund and managed to scrape a win in the dying minutes of the game. Dortmund is still yet to win a game.
The last game was between an unbeaten Africa FC and Esperanzi. Esperanzi was eager for a victory but only managed to secure a one-all draw against Africa FC.
The NFL, together with Cutting Edge Ministries, is hosting a soccer and volleyball tournament on April 3 at Paradise Astro Court.
