Second team makes the ‘Mighty’ fall

VRYHEID Rugby Club’s second team gave Emadadeni’s Mighty Buffaloes no chance on the field on Saturday.

It seems that luck was far from the side of the Buffaloes who did not even once see the try line during the match which ended 68-0.

Seven out of the ten tries were scored by the backline, showcasing some great running rugby.

Commenting on how well his team played, the second team’s coach Edwill Meiring said that he felt that the Mighty Buffaloes were not too bad on the field.

“It wasn’t that the Buffaloes were bad on the day, it’s our second team that is so strong,” he said.

Jaco Davel was man of the match for the Forwards.

The game was reduced from 80 minutes to 40 minutes due to the visiting team having had a breakdown on the road.
