‘See you on the road’

CONGRATULATIONS to all the athletes who had an excellent road-run in Pietermaritzburg the weekend of 25 February.
The following athletes ran the full marathon: 42,2km: Hein Potgieter (3:50), Simpiwe Buthelezi (4:01), Amanda Bothma (4:14), Christiaan Bezuidenhout (4:14), Marlene Beän (5:03), Ronell Beän (5:10), Roshin Anandlal (4:42), Prishanta Anandlal (4:42), and Barbara Dicks (4:44). 21,1km: Cathy de Beer (2:13) and 10km: Mbalenhle Thabede (1:13). Congratulations to all on a terrific race.
The Battlefields 4in1 will be taking place in Newcastle on March 4. There will be something for all. 5km, 10km, 21,1km and 42,2km. Good luck to the participants gearing up for that event.
We have our normal time trial on Thursday at the clubhouse at Pionier again at 5:30pm. Come for a lovely afternoon run/walk – 5km or a 10km double lap. There will be fires going for anyone who would like to ‘bring and braai’ afterwards. See you on the road!
