Team Rod Mill dominates ArcelorMittal Soccer League
Rod Mill is currently in first place of the log, with Blast Furnace in second place and Steel Plant in third position.
Fast-paced matches enthralled spectators at the ArcelorMittal Soccer League last Friday.
In Bar Mill’s match against Coke Ovens, Bar Mill drew first blood in the first 10 minutes of the game. Despite sloppy goal-keeping, Bar Mill quickly increased the lead to 2 – 0 after 15 minutes, which made up for the lack of defence.
However, Coke Ovens did not go without a fight. Coke Ovens scored two goals in quick succession. Despite the teams reaching a 2 – all score, Bar Mill refused to give up and managed to score the winning goal after being awarded a penalty shot. The end score was 3 – 2, in Bar Mill’s favour.
Central Maintenance went against Billet Mill, where Central Maintenance took the lead by racing to a three goal advantage in the first half.
The break for Billet Mill came in the second half, when the team scored two goals. However, the team’s efforts to win proved futile, when Central Maintenance came out victorious with a score of 3 -2.
Steel Plant clinched a 3 – 2 victory in its match against Infrastructure, while Medium Mill won Material Handling with a score of 3 – 0. Blast Furnance defeated Admin 4 -2, and Road Mill won Sinter Plane with a score of 3 – 0.
