BMW Supertech Newcastle, Dealer Principal Ray Williams is ampted up for the golf day.

Hosted for the first time in Newcastle, BMW Supertech Newcastle held its first ever BMW Golf Cup International on September 27 at Vulintaba Golf Club.

With over 50 different countries competing in the competition, the GCI is known to be the largest amateur event in the world.

Dealerships from across the country and throughout the world host specialised BMW GCI golf days, where winners participate in the respective national finals.

These winners then embark on an unforgettable trip to represent their country in the international finals.

The competition boasts three different categories; Mens A, Mens B and Ladies Division.

As part of one third of the Supertech Group, BMW Supertech Newcastle was extremely proud to host this magnanimous event.

60 golfers from Newcastle and surrounding communities took to the fairways to claim the top spot in each category.

Guests arrived at the course and were greeted by an array of BMW cars and bikes on display, including the BMW i3, and the new BMW 5 series.

After a long day on the course golfers enjoyed a premium prize giving and dinner.

“Supertech has had two golf days already in Durban and now is the time to bring the GCI to Newcastle. The Newcastle dealership has had a phenomenal year and I am extremely proud of the team. We look forward to building a long lasting relationships,” said Shabir Tayob of Supertech Group Chairman.
