Docrats Angling Club held its Champ of Champs outing at the weekend.

Fishing conditions at Chelmsford Dam were ideal and from the moment fishing commenced on Saturday, catches were in abundance.

Aveen Jagath was the first angler to reel in a barbel (13.5 kilogrammes).

He also reeled in a carp weighing over 4kg, and despite the best efforts of other anglers, his catch weights were not to be beaten.

Aveen thus clinched first place for the day.

In second place was Shabeer Pullen and Sadeck Iqbal ended in third – these anglers were congratulated on their outstanding work by Docrats Angling Club.
