SPORT: Teeing off at Reformed Church golf competition
The reason for their presence was the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) Sponsored IPS Competition.
A small field of golfers took to Newcastle Golf Club’s greens on Saturday.
The reason for their presence was the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) Sponsored IPS Competition.
Throughout the day, the sun beat down on the course.
When the final putt and sun sank and golfers were retired to the clubhouse, the winners for the day were announced.

Congratulations to the following players:
Dons de Kock ended in first place in 43 points, after a count out.
In second place was Riaan Swanepoel (43 points onco), with Club Captain, Dries Els taking third place (41 points onco).
Dick Lemmer ended fourth (41 points onco).
Rounding off the top five positions was Paul Byrom, who amassed 40 points after a count out – well done to all these golfers!
