ANGLING: Competition boasts grand prizes
Competition promises to be fierce on December 2 (Saturday), with massive prizes including cash, appliances, fishing tackle and vehicle accessories up for grabs.
Dannhauser Angling Club will host a Grand Overnight Bank Angling Open Competition this weekend.
Competition promises to be fierce on December 2 (Saturday), with massive prizes including cash, appliances, fishing tackle and vehicle accessories up for grabs.
First prize in the scaled category is a whopping R20 000.
The open competition also incorporates a skins competition over four sessions, with R1 000 for the heaviest fish caught per session.
Competition begins at 8am with the weigh-in at 10am the next morning.
As an affiliate of the Angling Professional League, entrants can expect a field of novice and seasoned anglers pitting their skills against one another.

The competition area will extend from the Sandford campsite gate until Zone E at Sandford (islands) – no observers allowed.
Anglers pay R200 entry fee each, which excludes gate fees.
