Biggarsberg Athletes conquer Volksrust
Biggarsberg Athletics Club's Lani van der Mescht said that she was super proud of the team.
Biggarsberg Athletes once again proved why they are among the cream of the crop when they took part in the Volksrust 5-in-1.
500 runners took part in the event, and the team of about 30 from Biggarsberg put on a show, despite being soaking wet before they even left the starting line.
Biggarsberg Athletics Club’s Lani van der Mescht said that she was super proud of the team.
“All our runners that set out to qualify for Comrades 2018 in June were successful. Sabelo put the cherry on top by being the third male to finish in the 42km in a wonderful time of under 3 hours!”

10km: It was great to have Alixe Fraser back in the field. Also finishing was Martie Hunlun and Lani van der Mescht.
4km Fun Run: Neville Griffiths’ sons are also following in dad’s footsteps: Tristein Griffiths 00:20:10 (1) and Tyrell Griffiths 00:21:14 (3).
Mom Renitha Griffiths also competed in support of her husband and sons.
