As winter’s chill settled over Newcastle, Cutting Edge Ministries turned up the heat with a heartwarming Bonfire Night that welcomed people from across the community.

Held on Saturday evening, the event was the perfect antidote to the cold, drawing residents together beneath the stars to enjoy laughter, games, and meaningful connection.

With flames crackling and the scent of wood smoke lingering in the crisp night air, the atmosphere was both cosy and spirited. From energetic games of pool and thunee to the comforting aroma of warm meals and hot drinks, the evening catered to all ages.

Live performances by Lucky Mathambo, Shaveer and Company, and Zoƫ Nagoor added to the festive spirit, while joyful conversations reminded everyone of the power of community and shared experiences.

It was more than just an evening of entertainment; it was about belonging, unity, and togetherness during times when connection matters most.

The success of the event was due in large part to the dedication of the organising committee, led by the tireless Neelan.

Their vision, along with the unwavering support of Pastors Desmond and Shannon and the broader leadership team, brought the celebration to life in a meaningful and memorable way.

Cutting Edge Ministries extends its heartfelt thanks to all who attended and contributed.
