Ladysmith police have their very own professional soccer referee who serves the SAFA Uthukela area. Constable BK Sibisi, who works in the Visible Policing Section, recently represented the SAPS at the SARPCCO Games that were held in Namibia. The constable travelled with the National Police team, who also participated at the event.

12 countries took part and Cst Sibisi was elected to referee the final match on August 28 at the Namibia Independent Stadium. He did a good job and was presented with a gold medal and certificate of appreciation for his dedication. He has been commended by the acting cluster and station commander of Ladysmith, Colonel TM Mngadi.

The elated constable would like to extend his appreciation to Ladysmith and Ezakheni police station management for giving him support, as well as the opportunity to participate in the event.
