Vying for positions in the Business League
Everyone got down to ‘business’ and bowled the evening away till it was dark

We had a wonderful evening last Wednesday! There were 24 teams vying for positions at the start of the Sarel’s Workshop Business League, all with their regalia showing their colours and with their hopes set on getting to the top of the log. The club thanks Sarel for this sponsorship! We had no rain (much to our disappointment for the sake of our gardens) and everyone got down to ‘business’ and bowled the evening away till it was dark.
The entry form is on the board for the Midlands singles – they are looking for a record entry this year, so please enter.
The club’s AGM will be held on October 24 and a few changes have been put forward to change the constitution. Please attend this important meeting and also elect the new committee for the next year. The committee needs your input to make improvements for the benefit of the members. The nomination list for your new committee is on the board and ready for the AGM on October 24. This is your chance to nominate the person you would like to see on the committee who will do their best for the club. This does not mean you are not happy with those who are there at the moment, but this gives you the opportunity to have your say. It only happens once a year, so do make your opinion count.
Good luck to the teams taking part in the Estcourt trips – safe driving. Friday evenings are 2-4-2 and the more the merrier – it’s your chance to practice for the Business League. Normal tabs-in will take place on Saturday afternoon.
“Live, love and laugh with bowls”.
