Cycling for charity
The Dads Charity Cycle Challenge has significantly changed the lives of hundreds of school children along the route and has made some meaningful contributions to charity.
45 dads and a few moms took the initiative to cycle for five days as part of the Dads Charity Cycle Challenge.
They departed from Johannesburg and made a stop in Estcourt on Friday.
They stayed over at Blue Haze Country Lodge before leaving for Pietermaritzburg on Saturday morning.
The Dads Charity Cycle Challenge has significantly changed the lives of hundreds of school children along the route and has made some meaningful contributions to charity.
This organisation was established nine years ago.
Their aim was to raise R 400 000 this year. The funds will be divided predominantly between four charities namely the Sunflower Fund, Fulton School for the Deaf, the Gauteng Down Syndrome Association (DSA) and the Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC).
Rob Jackson, founder of the Dads Charity Cycle Challenge says he is overwhelmed by the support the ride enjoys.
