The major golfing event of the past week for the Blackrock Newcastle Golf Club was the Newcastle Town Club Sponsored IPS.
With a total of 46 points, Pierre Uys was the day’s winner.
Joining him in the top three were Pradeep Singh, on a counted-out score of 43, and Greg Schlebusch on the same score.
David Lues and John McGregor rounded off the top five.
At the regular Wednesday competition, André du Plessis amassed 35 points to take the top position.
Richard Clayton and J Bach were also in the top three.
Friday’s five-hole ‘Sundowner’ competition saw Mike Maxted score 13 points to be announced the top golfer of the day.
