Cricket takes on a charitable spin

Get padded up for local organisations.

Action cricket is taking on a charitable spin with competitions in the next few weeks.

This Friday, Blue Ridge Action Cricket (BRAC) is hosting a social competition to raise funding for an Aids orphanage in the area, at a cost of R50 for two matches on the day.

On December 7, the main cause is the fight against breast cancer.

An all-day mixed tournament will take place from 9am until 9pm, where each team will pay R500 to play seven matches, the fees to go to local organisations.

Company teams and stall holders are welcome, as the aim is to raise R4 000.

For more information on these events or to book a team or stall, contact Avinash Nandkoomar from BRAC on 074 415 0546.
