Club chairman Johan van Dyk, who was personally celebrating his 20th Comrades success, congratulated every club member who took on the challenge of the ‘Ultimate Human Race’. Those who finished in good times and received certificates were Cyril Mkhwanazi, Elbard Mbatha, Lincoln Sibiya, Rene Schuler (who did very well in the women’s category, finishing in a time of 10:29.36), Jan Oberholzer, Johan van Dyk, Matthew Merrick, Elize Fick, Hennie van Dyk and Rudy Hollander.

The club chairman encouraged the runners who did not do so well this year to concentrate on next year’s race.
