Successful Moths golf day

There were prizes all the way down the line and a big thank you must go to the Moths organising team and all the participating golfers

Last Saturday, September 19 a Four Ball Alliance competition was played sponsored by the Lord Allenby Moth Shellhole. A very good field of 60 golfers endured good weather with only a small amount of rain. Many visitors including the Old Bill, Past Old Bill and Deputy Old Bill were welcomed.

Winning team with 110 points were Roy Ramkasoon, Viren Omardath, Rajen Goodoon and Dave Diedrick. Second with 108 points were Luke Schiever, Darryn Wortmann, Tuppy Schiever and N Rogers. A 103 point countout placed D Pillay and team in third place.

Dean McLuckie had the longest drive on number 18 and Luke Schiever was closest to the pin on number 16. The ladies were represented by Lynda Lumgair, Charline Vlok and Gina Hamman. There were prizes all the way down the line and a big thank you must go to the Moths organising team and all the participating golfers.

The Wednesday comp was won by Bruce le Roux and Dave Rudderham on a 45 point c/o and the Friday nine hole comp by Garth Fairfield with 22 points. Today, Wednesday, September 23 will be a BBBS comp and then on Saturday, September 26 the Mayoral Golf Day. Please note that we have a full field for this occasion and that the club will be closed on that day.
