Mayoral Golf Day is a great success

Proceeds of this competition were used to purchase computers for Vukasekusile Secondary School in Cornfields

Last Saturday, September 26 a full field of 72 players teed off in a BBBS competition.

This was the inaugural Mayoral Golf Day, which will become an annual event.
Winners with a score of 49 points were Paul Wagenaar and Ruben Meades.

Second place went to Moekie Ghasitha and Richard Naidoo on 48 points followed by a three-way 47 point count out placing Tim and Ledlie Hume in third place.

Closest to the pin on number three was Lional Laatz and the closest to the pin winners were as follows : –
Number three – Carlo Piagesti, number seven – Ernest Donnelly, number 10 – Muso Hlongwane and number 16 – Roy Ramkasoon.

The longest drive on number six for ladies was Gail Boettiger. Prizes went all the way down to tenth position.

An enjoyable evening was hosted by the Mayor Bongani Dlamini, which included a three-course meal and fantastic music provided by State of the Art band.

Proceeds of this competition were used to purchase computers for Vukasekusile Secondary School in Cornfields whose representatives were present to accept the donation.

Finally a big thank you must go to all those hardworking people who were involved in making the day the great success it was.
