The most welcome rainfall over the past week has seen a dramatic change in the outlook of the golf course at Dundee Country Club with green fairways miraculously appearing!
There were 34 players participating in Saturday’ Club competition, with the ever popular 4 BBBS format being played.
The pairing of C. Maphanga and G. Robson scored 48 points to win the day, followed by C.
Chawanda and M. Mthethwa on 45 points and the pairing of D. Catlett and R Streak finished in third place with 44 points.
Only W. Maritz on hole no.12 and C. Maphanga on hole no.16 managed to card a 2 Club for the day, and have a share of the prize money. Clement Chawanda was fortunate enough to score 11 jackpot points, to take home the jackpot prize money.
Friday’s 11 hole Meat Competition saw eight players taking part, and Debbie Catlett walked away with the meat hamper after scoring 24 individual points.
This Wednesday, December 16, is a public holiday, will see Dr Sifiso Kunene holding his second sponsored golf day at the club with the format being individual stableford.
This Friday evening the club will be offering a meal with a difference, pigs head, chips and salad at R20 per person.
Saturday, December 19, the club competition will be played in an individual stableford format.
