Who ranks among the best local golfing talent?
Determining this was the purpose of the Kilbarchan Golf Club Championships, which concluded last Sunday after two days and four divisions.
Club secretary, Dalene Hugo explained only members were eligible to enter.
“There are four divisions, the A, B and C, plus the ladies. The C division and women played on Saturday and the remaining divisions today (Sunday).”
Avid golfers teed, drove, chipped, blasted and putted through 18 holes until the best golfers of the season could be crowned.
Hannelie le Roux is now Ladies champion, and the C division winner was Japie van Reeuwyk.
George Meyer clinched the title of B division winner.
The coveted title of A division champion went to Walter Malevu, who recorded a phenomenal game to take top honours.
