Ayanda shines at Time Trials
Ayanda once again proved to be the quickest amongst the competitive men's field.
It was another good week for trialists. Nicky ‘The Flying’ Williams romped home to win the 4 km Ladies Race in a fast time.

2km Walk Ladies: Luzanne van der Mescht and Bettie Wolfaardt dead heated for first place in a time of 22m37s , while Bets van der Mescht finished second in a time of 23m44s.
2km Run Junior Girls: Ndmcebo Ndima was the only athlete and finished in 22m27s.
3km Walk Ladies: Thobeka Mbatha finished first in a time of 22m56s, followed by Joyce Shabalala – 23m40s. Martie Ferreira finished third in 24m00s followed by Lani van der Mescht – 28m30s and Mbali Mawila – 31m18s.
3km Walk/ Jog Junior Girls: Bubu Mawila finished in 27m58s.
4km Run Ladies: Nicky Williams once again finished ahead of the competition in a time of 18m00s. Jayrushka Massalia finished second – 22m18s and Jacqui Blick came in third – 22m40s. Tandeka Mdlhlose was fourth – 24m58s and fifth was Kholiwe Buthelezi – 28m07s.
2km Walk Mens: Pieter Bester finished first in a time of 23m44s.
3km Walk Mens: Joe Khumalo finished first in a time of 22m37s.
3km Walk/Jog Junior Boys: Ntsako Mawila and Siyabonga dead heated in a time of 27m58s.
4km Run Mens: Ayanda Buthelezi finished first in a blistering time of 13m52s, with Bongani Sabelo coming in second – 14m18s, Thokozani Phungula in third – 14m41s and Sanele Nxumalo in fourth – 15m50s.
Petrus Mavuso was fifth – 16m49s, sixth was Khetha Nchunu – 17m18s, Sanele Buthelezi – 17m55s came in seventh and Zwelihle Duma – 19m13s took eighth place. Sakile Masondo – 20m08s finished ninth, Sandile Lamula – 24m07s took tenth and Siphamandla Hadebe rounded off the group in a time of 26m45s.
A hearty welcome is also extended to all newcomers joining Time Trials. Please note that Time Trials will start at 5 pm from this coming week in front of Dundee Junior School on Excelsior Lane.
