Cricket festival coming to NKZN
Settlers Park will be the site of fun sporting action on August 13, with the festival promising to surpass previous years.
NEWCASTLE – The KFC Mini Cricket Festival is coming to Ladysmith later this year.
Settlers Park will be the site of fun sporting action on August 13, with the festival promising to surpass previous years.
Organisers said KFC had moved mountains to make this day one to remember.
“You are urged to be a part of this historical event,” they commented.
With Playmakers coming on board this year, provincial and Proteas players have already been enlisted, and SuperSport has also indicated possible coverage.
Meals and refreshments will be provided to all participants and coaches.
An invitation has been extended to schools and institutions to be part of this memorable event, which features under-7, u-8, u-9 and u-10 divisions.
“Those wishing to participate can contact Clayton Moola on 082 786 1641 or Faroek Seedat on 072 100 1007, or by emailing MoolaCF@saps.gov.za and ofiseedat@telkomsa.net.”
To maximise participation, KFC will not limit team entries this year.
This provides an excellent opportunity to get as many children as possible from your school to participate.
Further special recognition, for example ‘Coach of the Year’ will be made.
“This invitation goes out to all schools in Northern KwaZulu-Natal – don’t miss out!”
