ON June 11, approximately 120 anglers from various clubs took the Chelmsford Dam banks by storm.

Early morning weather conditions were mild and pleasant, until the cold front came in by no surprise. All the anglers were well prepared with extra warm clothing, waders and even some blankets, anything to take part in the competition.

SAP Vryheid angling won the competition with a score of 149 points, followed by Vryheid B 120 points, Kingfisher Melachites 90 points, Domoina 84 points, Newcastle Arende 82 points, Dundee Sharks 73 points, with one fish more than Kingfisher Giants 73 points, Vryheid A 68 points, Pietermaritzburg 63 points, Iscor 55 points, Newcastle 41 points and Dundee Dolphins 35 points.

SAP Angling club is very proud to announce their winning team; Cules Mortlock, KCT Erasmus, Cobus Opperman, Ballie Bezuidenhout, Charlene Mortlock, Anna Opperman, Joanne-Mari Bezuidenhout, Anco Opperman, Jeadan Dippenaar and Keegan Dippenaar.
