Karatekas get their black belts

Karate classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Agra Civic Hall

Proud karatekas Shaivyl Goorahoo, Curwyn Thomas, Meriska Ramphal, Kashmira Mahadew and Neha Singh of the Budo Ryu Karate Association of SA recently received their black belts in karate.

SA Budo Ryu Karate Club has been very successful in producing a record number of senior and junior black belts since its inception in 1976 and is one of the oldest dojos in the region.

Hard work and disciplined training does pay off, but students must understand that with each new belt, more work comes along.

Karate classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Agra Civic Hall.
