Soccer league builds momentum

Sporting FC kicked off the day's matches, by going up against Dynamos.

NEWCASTLE – The Newcastle Social Soccer league continued this past weekend with some great action.

Sporting scored the first goal and had Dynamos on the back foot. In the second half, Dynamos managed to equalise the score, and with five minutes left in the game, Dynamos managed to score another goal to win the game 2 – 1.

Al-Ahly then played against Madrid FC. Al-Ahly secured the first goal and continued to dominate the match. Through strong defence and attack, Al-Ahly won the match with a score of 4 -1 over Madrid FC.

Fairleigh Sparta tackled Shining Stars, and secured a whopping victory of 7 – 1.

Next Sunday, Fairleigh Sparta will play Dynamos at 1pm, while Shining Stars and Stella FC will battle it out at the same time. At 3pm, Sporting FC will face Al-Ahly, while Siyahlahla will compete against Madrid FC.

On Thursday, August 18, Al-Ahly will play against Dynamos at 6pm. At the same time, Sporting FC will go against Siyahlahla.
