Bowls and golf unite
The enthusiastic, good humoured crowd were grouped in pairs with one bowler and one golfer
Sunday, September 25 was a very fun, historic and memorable day on the greens as bowls and golf united. Players from the Estcourt Bowling Club and members from the Estcourt Golf Club took part in a friendly match.
The enthusiastic, good humoured crowd were grouped in pairs with one bowler and one golfer. Just after breakfast was served, 10 ends where played at the bowling club.
Thereafter players made their way to the golf club where they played nine holes. Lunch was served just before the prize giving ceremony.
The golf score was subtracted from the bowls score to get an overall score.
Thanks went to the organisers, George van Niekerk and Vivian Seager as well as all the generous sponsors who helped make the day possible. The organisers hope to host this event quarterly. All those who partook had lots of fun and shared plenty of laughs.

The annual Business League Bowls tournament will kick start in October all potential teams and their members will be contacted and finalised during the course of this week.
