Racers keep the turning signal on

When the dust settled, and the last of the vehicles had left the track, the following racers claimed trophies to add to their collection:

Zaakira Khan was the fastest women of the night.

She was pursued by Shandeera Govender and Michaela Marshall, who ended second and third respectively.

The 1660s division saw Francois Greyvenstein take the chequered flag.

Talented junior, Tiaan Buys finished second in the class, while Hein Steenkamp received his dues for third position.

Ali Jamaloodeen was the quickest in the 1600s division.

Second place was claimed by Dullah Jamaloodeen, with Cathleen Meisegeier earning the bronze position finish.

The hot rods class saw Willie Erasmus number one, ahead of Anthony vd Merwe and Gideon Hand.

Boet Buys clinched the win in the tin tops division, fending off Imraan Ameer and JP Bruin to reach the top of the podium.

Pieter Bester sped to victory in the two litres class.

His winning performance was enough to see off Faizel Cassim and Shaukat Khan.

Rehaan Cassim, Sadiyya Ameer and Lianie van Rooyen were the top three in the go-karts division, respectively.

“Thank you to all spectators, drivers, sponsors, marshalls and committee members for your support. See you at the next race on October 29 at 6pm,” organisers concluded.
