Steven Shaw from Estcourt and Linda Abraham from Ntabamhlophe have been instrumental in placing KwaZulu-Natal at the top in the Golden Games.

The games, which is open to senior citizens is hosted regionally and nationally. The pair competed in the national Golden Games held in Limpopo from October 25-28.

Mr Shaw participated in the 400m relay as well as the choir category. Mr Abraham competed in the relay event.

The KZN team won all the relay events and scored 628 points. They also excelled in athletics and soccer, beating Gauteng (582 points) and Limpopo (506).
