Playing in a sponsored trips competition at Klipbank Bowling Club in Ladysmith last Sunday, Newcastle bowlers Ron and Alice Howe, and Anil Durgadin, acquitted themselves well and were rewarded for their good bowling by coming home with the first prize – well done!
Newcastle Bowling Club will host the KwaZulu-Natal Country Bowls Masters Singles Championships this weekend, with 12 women and 12 men from throughout the District competing for the sought-after title of District Masters Champion.
Members are requested to assist with marking, and to place their names on the list at the clubhouse before Friday.
