Young Ladysmith golfer who loves to beat his dad
He achieved his handicap in November last year and is looking to keep on bringing his handicap down each and every time he plays a round of golf

Cameron Wessels is a young and talented golfer who is making waves on the fairways and greens at Ladysmith Country Club.
11-year-old Cameron, a Grade 6 learner at Egerton Primary School, is an avid golfer who has been smashing and gently putting balls around for the past three years.
He achieved his handicap in November last year and is looking to keep on bringing his handicap down each and every time he plays a round of golf. Cameron can be spotted almost each and every week on the course. He is incredibly competitive with golf clubs in hand, especially when it comes to beating his dad. That is a special pleasure indeed!
This last weekend, his dad got the better of him on points. However, he beat his dad last weekend and that was surely a proud moment for Cameron (one he won’t let his dad forget in a hurry).
Cameron started playing golf at a very young age and who knows where his talent will take him in the future.
During the Christmas period, Cameron and his golfing partner came second in a junior division championship.
Needless to say, he plays in various competitions at the club and is gaining valuable experience all the time.
So watch this space, as we could have the next Gary Player on our hands. From Ladysmith!
