Bowling trips battle for the meat

PIETERMARITZURG – Despite all the Newcastle Bowling Club provincial bowlers being away in Pietermaritzburg, a pleasing number of bowlers turned up for the monthly FedAuto meat competition.

Winner of first prize was the team of Ron Howe, Ryk Pepler and Nesta Volendam, with Jan Winterbach, Leonie Cilliers and Dennis Smith taking second place.

Results of the KwaZulu-Natal Quadrangular Tournament held in Pietermaritzburg will follow.
