Going up the hill to the Country Club to raise funds for Hospice

The lucky chicken winners were Rob Halton, Sean and Oscar Baleri

The De Franca’s Spar Business League is still going strong and on Wednesday, the bowlers were treated to a wonderful plate of snacks after their games, all donated by Motor Factors’ Mrs Antoinette Grobler.

Many thanks for this gift from all the bowlers and Klipbank. While doing these thanks, a special mention must go to Sasko Bakery for their donation of loaves of bread every Wednesday for the duration of this business league.

On Saturday, most of Klipbank went up the hill and joined the Country Club to play in the Hospice tournament. As usual, we had a lovely afternoon of bowls and a lot of us had our hair sprayed with wild colours to raise funds for this great institution.

The Hospice ladies and gentlemen worked very hard to raise funds, and to see that they managed to achieve this goal was very heartwarming. Well done to everybody who helped make this happen.

On Wednesday afternoon, some members played Tabs-In for chickens. Thanks to Rod van Deventer for organising this event. The lucky chicken winners were Rob Halton, Sean and Oscar Baleri.
