High handicappers excel

The Wednesday betterball sponsored by N3 Fire was again won by high handicap players in Bunn Hamman and Melton Schiever, also on 48 points

Paul Wagenaar and Arnold Boettiger both high handicap players won the betterball competition on Saturday on a whopping 48 points as well as the jackpot on 14 points!

Second were Carlo Piagesti and Dave Rudderham and third Paddy Geraty and Gordon Smith.

Arnold made the only two club missing the hole in one by millimeters.

The Wednesday betterball sponsored by N3 Fire was again won by high handicap players in Bunn Hamman and Melton Schiever, also on 48 points, followed by Fred Vickers and Peter Wood and third Gina Hamman and Melton.

The jackpot was won by Fred and Peter on 13 and again Arnold the only two club. Friday’s nine hole was won by Ajeesh Lalparsad on 21 points, welcome back Ajeesh.

The new committee was elected on Wednesday – Martin van Niekerk – President, George van Niekerk – Captain, Paul Wagenaar – Vice Captain, Charlene Vlok – Lady Captain, Garth Fairfield – Secretary, Ruben Meads – Competition Secretary and Rishi Goodram – squash.

Wednesday will be a betterball stab and Saturday the Skaap Dag sponsored by farmer Skead.
