Caravanners set up a Utrecht camp

During this camp, a cheque for the amount of R1 500 was handed over to the owners and managers of Sanjos Home for the Aged in Vryheid, as part of the circle’s social responsibility programme over 14 years.

The Northern Natal Caravan Circle (Noord Natal Woonwakring) hosted a successful camp at Balele Caravan Park in Utrecht.

This was despite the gross neglect of the camp site, which needs urgent attention.

During this camp, a cheque for the amount of R1 500 was handed over to the owners and managers of Sanjos Home for the Aged in Vryheid, as part of the circle’s social responsibility programme over 14 years.

“Numerous organisations such as old age homes, the SPCA and children’s homes have benefited from our social responsibility over the years. This year, our beneficiary was elected at our AGM in January, as the home receives no assistance from the state or any other body,” explained Dawid Beetge on behalf of the club.

The programme takes money collected from members during Sunday church services on camping weekends (one weekend per month) and donates it to a worthy cause.

The circle has extended an invitation to all caravan or tent owners to come and enjoy a camping weekend with members from April 21 to 23 at the Battlefields Caravan Park at Tayside near Dundee.

For costs and further information, contact Dawid on 083 362 9317.
