Brian bags the winning bass

The next league will be held at Bivane Dam on May 6. This is your last opportunity to fish this dam before the Bivane Challenge as competitors in the Challenge are not allowed to fish the dam seven days prior to the competition.

THE April League of the Vryheid Luremasters, held recently at Jacques Odendaal’s dams, was won by Brian Stoltz with a bass of 1,86kg.

In second place was Ajay Mohunram with a bass of 1,71kg and first Junior was Werner de Wet with a bass of 0,26kg. A big thank you to Jacques for allowing us to use these dams, it is highly appreciated.

The next league will be held at Bivane Dam on May 6. This is your last opportunity to fish this dam before the Bivane Challenge as competitors in the Challenge are not allowed to fish the dam seven days prior to the competition.

The Bivane Challenge will take place at Bivane Dam on May 20 and 21. Entry fee is R1 000 per boat, maximum of two anglers per boat. The first prize is R25 000 cash for the heaviest bass and second prize is R7 000 for the second heaviest bass. Team prize is R5 000 for the heaviest bag and R2 000 for second heaviest bag.

Your entry fee includes your entry into the competition, your camping fees, sheep on the spit on Friday evening, May 19, a T-shirt and a badge. Should you require a chalet, the cost will be additional. Most of the chalets have already been booked. If you require a chalet, please get your entry in as soon as possible.
