Sentraal thump Volksrust and put their season back on track

The home team lead 19-0 at half-time and there was no stopping them in the second half

Sentraal rugby club came roaring back against Volksrust following last week’s disappointment against Vryheid. The local team hammered their Mpumalanga visitors 50-0 with tries being scored by Charles Dube (who dotted down twice), Tyrone Terry, Tiaan du Plooy, Eugene Corbitt, T Nkato, Danie Vermaak and Brendon Halforty.
Tyrone slotted home four conversions. The home team lead 19-0 at half-time and there was no stopping them in the second half. It was good to see Dolf Redelinghuys and Charles Dube back on the field after an absence.
The second team also had a field day against Volksrust, winning 49-0 after leading 28-0 at half-time. Tries were scored by Blessing Nkabinde, Estiaan Coetsee (two tries), Sandile Twala, Kwanda Ngobese, Abdulla and Dhabula. Pieter Pypers slotted home a remarkable seven conversions to make him the man of the match among the backs while Gary Simpson was the man of the match among the forwards.
