On Saturday, the Estcourt Golf Club hosted the Sanlam Cancer Day. This event is close to our hearts as the club has been directly affected by members or family members suffering from it.

We think of Ian Freeman, who gave so much to this club and his family, and as a club would like to send our thoughts and prayers out to those currently suffering from cancer.

The results were as follows:
B Division Lady winner was Gail Boettiger and in the C Division was Delia Le Roux.
Then the results in the men’s competition were: C Division winner Viren Omardath, with Kamy Baboolal in second and Arnold Boettiger in third.

The B Division was won by Ruben Meades with S Khan in second and Rajen third. The A Division was won by Philani Mabaso with Jeremy Brown in second and Wilfie Laatz third.

The visitor’s competition was won by JJ de Beer.

Closest to the pin on number three was won by Deejay Ramdhav and closest for two on the second was won by S Khan.

Estcourt Golf Club managed to raise R 3 075 for cancer awareness and would like to thank Sanlam again for their hard work for making this golf day possible.

A big thank you to Alicia Dreyer and Reena Bhugwandeen from Sanlam Estcourt and Bruce Kenneth, Cansa Community Mobiliser.

The Wednesday club sponsored competition was won by Harry Koovarjee and Gordon Chotu with Willem and Laura Erasmus in second place. It is great to see two new ladies on the course, thank you Laura and Delia.
