Perfect weather and quick greens at Klipbank Bowling Club

The Nest held the Academy on Sunday, and Klipbank and Harrismith were represented

Friday morning saw a large number of members at the club for the start of the Club Mixed Pairs.

The format was three games of 15 ends, the draw was done and the games began. The greens were quick but true, the weather was perfect and it sounds like everyone had a good time.

At the end of the day, four teams will be playing in the semi-finals.

These are: Rod and Emma van Deventer, Barbara Baleri and Neal Singh, Kees Hillenaar and Veronica Malan, Rodney Perrin and Shenaaz Singh – no date for this at the moment.

Saturday, the Country Club hosted a lot of our members at their Italian Day, which I believe was lots of fun.

The Nest held the Academy on Sunday, and Klipbank and Harrismith were represented.

As usual, we had a really enjoyable day, but at the same time being coached by the Springbok coach.

It’s amazing what this man can teach you and at the end of the sessions, you start to visualise yourself in the Springbok team in a few years (well, I do anyway).

You actually feel and can see the improvement in your delivery and your confidence.

Thanks to Theunis, Iris, Stewart and Shelly for a super day, and big thanks to Jimmy for supplying and braai’ing the wors.

See you in a couple of months for the next Academy.

“See You On The Greens!”
