The Spur Super Saturday League continued on Saturday, with teams eager to dominate the cricket pitch.
Bengal Tigers played Highlands and managed to claw its way to victory.
Highlands batted first and amassed 181 runs in 29 overs, where Connie Niewoudt and Craig Pedersen were the main contributors, running up 59 runs and 33 runs respectively.
In reply, the Tigers scored 182 runs for wickets, securing victory in the 25th over.
Lennoxton competed against Eagles, which proved to be a tough match.
Lennoxton scored a total of 80 runs. To ensure the Eagles were kept at bay, Lennoxton claimed seven wickets before the Eagles reached the required target. Irfaan Ahmed kept his team in the contest by taking four wickets in four overs.
Despite Lennoxton’s best efforts, Eagles managed to scrape over the line in 8.2 overs.
The Spur Super Saturday League continues on October 28.

In the A-Division, Phoenix will compete against Paradise at the Arbor Park Sports Grounds. Old Boys will play Asians at the Paradise Sports Grounds.
In the B-Division, Underdogs play against Highlands, while Warriors will face Eagles. Both matches will take place at Ferrum Sports Grounds.
The Ithemba Security Night League featured two matches this week.
Old Boys beat Eagles by 17 runs, while Paradise beat Underdogs by 54 runs.
