Fantastic tee offs, good putts and a birdie or two had golfers in friendly competition mode, as they set off to prove who would be the best golfer of the day.

Committed and enthusiastic golfers enjoyed the sunny weather while they participated in the Davida van der Merwe Optrometrist Sponsored Competition on Saturday, November 4 at the Newcastle Golf Club.

Fantastic tee offs, good putts and a birdie or two had golfers in friendly competition mode, as they set off to prove who would be the best golfer of the day.

The scores were counted and the winners of the day were as follows:

1. Renier Terblanche (42 points)

2. Shaun Pillay (39 points onco)

3. Johnny Saunders (39 points onco)

4. Gary Williams (38 points)

5. Jenny Darvall (37 points onco).
