Two in a row for golfer Marc
On Wednesday next week, February 14, the club will be holding Valentine's Dinner and Dance from 7pm.
Saturday saw 30 golfers competing for the February Monthly Mug which also included a handful of 2017 Mug winners playing for the coveted title of Mug of Mugs for 2017. For the second year in succession it was Marc Bradbury who was crowned the Men’s Mug of Mugs while Lorien De Wit claimed the ladies title.
The men’s A division Mug for February went to Sifiso Kunene after he beat Billy Francis in a playoff on the first extra hole. Blessing Chiwaya was an easy winner of the men’s B division after shooting a net 68 to claim his first ever Monthly Mug.
In the ladies division, Lorien de Wit finished on a net 71 to win the B division Mug while Hlengiwe Hlongwane beat Dolly Bradbury on the second extra hole to win the ladies C division Mug.
The prize for the best gross score on the day went to Mason Meyer after finishing on three over par 74. There were five players who managed to record a 2 Club on the day and they were; S Kalideen and Jo Khumalo on the 4th hole, K Roets, B Meyer and S Sithole all made their 2 Club on the 12th hole.
On Wednesday next week, February 14, the club will be holding Valentine’s Dinner and Dance from 7pm. For just R120 per person, one will be treated to a starter, a main course, which will be a 250gr rump steak with your choice of sauce plus a dessert.
